Next Level Turn is a cleanup, turn, and labor crew in the Omaha metro. It is also something more. It is a pathway to meaningful work for young adults rebuilding their lives after a traumatic brain injury.

It began with my son.
Next Level Turn began with my son. At 15, he suffered a traumatic brain injury. It is a miracle that he survived, and a miracle that he is as capable as he is today. He looks and sounds like any other young adult. The hardest part of what he carries, you cannot see.
Rebuilding a life after a brain injury is the hardest work I have ever watched anyone do. I left my career to walk beside him through it, and our family learned where the system breaks by falling into every gap in it. I watched him do everything right and still find independence just out of reach, because the world is not built for people like him.
So we set out to help build one that is. Next Level Turn is the first part of that answer.
The gap no one sees.
After a brain injury, the hardest challenges are often the ones no one can see. A young adult who can walk, talk, and hold a job is still doing the invisible work of an injured brain every day: short-term memory, processing speed, planning, sequencing, anticipating what comes next.
Take learning a new task. The ability is fully there. But a slower processing speed means it takes longer to stick. To an employer who does not understand that, it can look like the wrong hire. It is not. It is a capable person who needs a little more time up front and the right structure around the work. Give them that, and they do the job as well as anyone.
Because the struggle is hidden, the world assumes it is not there. So survivors fall into a gap the system was never built for. Capable enough to look independent, but still needing structure and steady support to get there. When rehab ends, that structure disappears, and independence stays just out of reach.
What closes that gap is not more medical care. It is a reason to get up in the morning, a crew to belong to, and work that matters.

Next Level Turn is the first step toward something larger: Aiden's House, a community built so that survivors and their families do not have to walk this road alone. A place to live with the right support nearby, to build skills and routine, to find purpose through work, and to belong.
The work we do today is how we prove what is possible. Every job builds toward it.
